I hate swimming 3-4 times a week. Luz chooses nice beaches to walk every day. Why. Because we love food. We love chicken from the Mexican market, rubbed with chili. I love pan fried noodles. I suppose to get 170 but we are bad, Luz said.Going to Grand Canyon. Going coach train so not to eat in dining car. Food is too good. Try the steak with mushroom sauce. San Diego Zoo’s Albert has a small meat pizza and spicy Cesar Salad. We split half on each. Great after walking around zoo.

Aren’t diets a b#*&h, Cathy!!! Don’t concentrate on what you’re “missing,” but on what you’re going to have once you’ve lost whatever weight you started out to lose… I hope everyone has a truly great Thursday! ;)

When we were dating, I would cook for friends. Luz complained about cutting so pieces. I do chili sweet and sour fried chicken. My egg rolls are big, stuffed with large pieces of meat and veggies. Very fatty.

I was looking at your library of 47 books. You put out two in 2013. Plus, you had the heavy workload of a daily comic strip. Finally, knowing you are picky, picky and picky, Miss Perfect, you must have broken your back. I ask you how you have a life.? How did you have love In your marriage? How did you have happiness?

A great experience is being in the Surf liner train dining car while it is moving through Big Sur at sunset. We had just finished an excellent meal. They have great desserts. The single cheesecake with strawberry topping is so good. But Luz chose the chocolate mousse. She hates chocolate. She spooned out the chocolate, putting it on my dish while eating the vanilla. She always does little things to remind me she loves me. I can’t image I got so involved with my job as a government auditor, that I wanted to divorce her. When we talked about it, I was so concerned about how she was going to be taken care of; I realized I deeply loved her.I had a mental breakdown from that high pressure job. It disappeared, but she was there. I realized that life is not about the job, it is about the people who love you.Retired, she organizes my life. She gets upset about my untidiness, but deep down, she knows that why I need her.

I don’t see why Cathy can’t have a few of the things she loves and gave up and is now craving so bad if only she would eat them in moderation and combine it with a little more exercise. But since this is Cathy we’re talking about, and we know she can’t do anything in moderation and absolutely hates to even take poor pudgy Electra for a walk . . . then I predict this new diet will be over in another week — maybe 2.

On the other hand . . . since she’s now got a boyfriend/dieting partner, she may be able to stick it out longer than usual and actually lose a few pounds this time around. Who knows? She may surprise us yet!!!!!

    Hi, rgcviper!

That’s why diets don’t work — you give up all the foods you like and can’t wait to get back to them when the diet is over. At weight watchers, I have all the foods I love, I just have them in moderation — so I don’t have to go food crazy when I hit the weight I want to be.

Happens to the best of us, Cathy.

Maybe not to this AACK-worthy extreme, but still.

    HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.
