Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today!

In “South Pacific”, a 50’ musical, a young Naval Officer falls in love with a native girl. Because of race, he ends the relationship. Before going on a mission, he realizes he cannot leave her. He is killed on the mission. Like the one of its songs, “Some enchanting evening, you meet a stranger across the room.” I met my wife at the Marine Corp Depot Officers Club.I fell in love with a pretty little Mexican girl without papers. A career officer, I left the Navy for her. She did not see her family until two years later when she received her papers.We did for Love.

I don’t remember any of these — this must have been when my newspaper stopped carrying the strip (good time huh!). Irving is doing a complete about face — don’t know if I would trust it either (if I didn’t already know the outcome :)

I"m not really getting this one, either. If she were angry, she could vent some of her frustration onto the poor golf balls, but … I got nothin’.
