Methinks Cathy needs to find another friend who will be happy for her… ;)

Ooh, I just noticed that “Cathy” is no longer being drawn…so is this why we’re having repeats? It’ll be fun to see her get courted and engaged and married…I missed it the first time around! ;)

She’s trying to Charlene. My friends and most of my family aren’t too happy about my guy either, so I don’t tell them anything.

Happy Friday Cathy clan, this week went fast! Enjoy your weekend!

My son, the artist, has several exs. He goes through pretty girls like water. He tells me it is not his looks, but the way he talks. He picked his beloved mom and me at the airport with a beautiful blode. She was from a London dance troupe. She said she loved his emails. He broke her heart like so many. But at least he does it better than jerk Irving.

For 34 years, I have seen Cathy pursue Irving to marry her. I have been married to my beloved for 40. My friend, George, says how can you live that long with a woman. Because when I mess up, she picks me up and helps me clean up the mess I made. She points out the special details of our children as they grew up. She is my best friend. She is my lover. If it is not there, why are you trying something that is not there. Like my little girl says, there is another one in line. (Yes, she is a beautiful woman)

    Panic

    The house is a mess.

Picky, picky, picky. Perfection is my wife’s middle name.

She will make nasty comments. But will be happy because knowing how much I need her.

Perfect match. A neat nut and a disaster. You can eat off my wife’s floor.

@midland – your wife would not like our house. For 24 years we’ve been getting busier with each other than with a mop…L

My little girl has a guy that makes her laugh. I told her to have a good time. Let it just happen. I told my kids to marry someone they have a great passion for. Throw out that matching crap. My wife was a little Mexican housekeeper and I was a Naval Officer. I could never have had a more supportive wife. She nurture two great human beings. What more do you want from a marriage.

I had a fair amount of boyfriends back in high school but if I were single and dating these days [instead of being 25 years happily married], I really can’t think of a single one of those exes that I’d be interested in reconnecting with now. I’m one of those people that believe the past is the past and it can’t be changed. The reasons why our relationship didn’t work out to begin with then would more than likely still be there now so why go down that road again? If my cousin had paid attention to that advice a few short years ago and not remarried her ex-husband, they wouldn’t now be getting divorced again today for the second time. It’s not that I have anything against the guy she married because I don’t; he’s always been very nice to me. But they both have short fuses and really hot tempers, making it impossible for them to get along all that well because they’re too busy yelling at each other rather than calmly talking out their problems and differences instead. But who knows? Maybe for some people, the second time around actually can work out better than it did the first time. I’m just not one of those people who would be interested in “going back” to find out either way.

Sorry, another busy day. Midland, welcome to our little group here… your posts are amusing, keep ‘em coming! :-)GretchensMom – Preparations are crazy. I’m running ragged trying to keep up with “normal” life, clean up the house, pack things up, take care of my Mom’s life, and trying to get things done before we leave our current life (i.e. buy things such as clothes and shoes that I can’t find in Spain). I will DEFINITELY miss you too!! I hope that I won’t be “offline” for too long when we finally make the move because I won’t survive long without internet. Fortunately internet connection is a priority for my husband too. Hope you all had a wonderful Friday! “See” you tomorrow!

Jennifer Moreno, 25, Captain, US Army, Nurse, killed in action. Awarded Silver Star with combat clusters . Some Army Rangers and Green Berets asked why a nurse?

How does a woman tell tough men that wants to command? I want to know what I am made of in the heat of battle.

We visit her grave. As a former minority military officer, I understand why Jennifer was in combat.

Death is a part of command. But as an old man, I feel a deep sorrow in the soul over the loss of a bright tiny star.

Yes, the struggle for women equality goes on. Marines are allowing women in combat positions. But only in the heat of battle will bring acceptance.

Captain Moreno led American women into battle. War is about power and women must strive for their roles in the military.

Hearing that there are married people, I thought I make a suggestion. If you start having kids, write some fitting poetry.

I wrote some. Don’t laugh. But when I read after 40 years, it reminds me about my kids

    Family

Their smiles and joys are my LifeThey make Living So PreciousI can’t remember How Life was without themThese are the moments a Man feels his Humanity.

Sometimes words are better than the 10,000 pics on the iPHONE.
