I’m jealous that you saw so many whales – we saw almost nothing on the only whale cruise I’ve been on, and seeing the mamas with their babies is priceless. Oh, and the seahorses sound adorable! Where did you do that? We are glad you are back, but it sounds like you had a great time with some fantastic memories!

Personally, I don’t see why it matters whether Irving is taping something at home or not. Cathy should just be happy that he thought enough of her to be out on their date tonight when he could have stayed home and watched t.v. instead. It certainly would have been a whole lot cheaper than what he’s going to spend on their dinner and whatever play they’re going to see, that’s for sure. Sheesh!!! With some people, there’s simply no way to please them no matter WHAT you do!!!!! :-(

I think being able to program the VCR is a big start!

Thanks lightenup & Mom!! They say the whale cruise is best between November and April and we hit it just when the babies are learning to breathe and spout. Apparently the mothers push them to the surface about every 5 minutes because that is all the air they can hold. The seahorses were on a “farm” where they are being specially bred, protected, and studied. They also had some dragon seahorses from either Australia or New Zealand which were worth $10,000 each. There were only 3 of those. Thanx for the “welcome home” — It was a good time and Mom, I had never been there before. It is beautiful everywhere you go. But the best part was being able to go outside without being bundled up to the teeth for the first time in 3 months. Alas, we are back to below 0 every night :(

As for Cathy — I’m not particularly fond of Irving, but I do think Cathy has overstepped a little here. It’s none of her business what he is taping as long as he is taking her out and treating her well.
