One year when I was still learning how to cook, the hubby invited his mom and grandmother over without asking me ahead of time. I was mortified but I didn’t do too bad and of course I let him have it later! I’m a much better cook now.
Thankfully my cousin invited us over to her pitch-in Thanksgiving dinner this year and our contribution to the meal is pumpkin pie. WOO-HOO!!!!! I can cook the entire meal just fine . . . I’m just happy that I don’t have to!!!!! ;-)
