I’m not sure, I will get a mammogram because one of my aunts had breast cancer and another one had a scare. Other types of cancer also run in my family. Rod Roddy, former announcer on “The Price is Right” died of breast cancer. That’s the 1st time I heard of a man getting it.

They’ve made many improvements in mammagrams since this story was written. They should not be painful.

I’ve never had a painful mammogram, but I have heard from many of my less-endowed friends that it can be. Apparently in this case, bigger is better!

I’ll take the brief discomfort of a mammogram any day over a mastectomy and chemo.

My first mammogram 4 years ago when I turned 40 was pretty painful. But every one I’ve had since? Not so much. I think it helped greatly going from having it done at a regular doctor’s office [that first painful time] where they obviously had no real idea as to what they were doing to a professional women’s diagnostic breast imaging center where that’s ALL they do — and they manage to do it quite nicely without making you feel as though you’re being pinched and squeezed hard by a pair of pliers or vice grips! [Sorry, guys!!!!!]

Just got back from a conference in Phoenix so missed all the events this week.

rgcviper the black cat If you find somewhere to buy eye-rolls in bulk I will take a gross at least. My own eyes are getting sore from having to do it so often – like 8 times tonight as I caught up past strips.

A good message here about mammograms, but they still manage to inspire an [eye-roll]. Uncanny. And, as always, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
@hendelcaHa—I love the idea of buying eye-rolls in bulk … except for the fact that I’d be beyond broke by now after reading this strip for so long.
