Why would she want someone who’s going to be whining about his girlfriend dumping him through the whole date?

Put down the ice cream, Cathy, and step away from the phone! Jeez, Cathy’s mom, if you want her to be happy, then leave her alone!Good morning, Susan, Macushlalondra and the rest of the Cathy clan!@ hendelca – So glad to hear from you!! I’ve been thinking about you, but figured you were busy with things. I’m so sorry about what you’ve been through. Is this to be expected with the treatment that you’re doing, or something the doctor needs to figure out why it happened? That’s very concerning to me. Please know that your friends here are thinking of you and rooting for you to feel better soon!!@ GretchensMom – Yes, I’m hoping that a year off will give us an opportunity to look for another cheer gym to join, or at least watch to see if this gym improves now that they’re starting to get a negative reputation.

Now we really, truly, FULLY understand why Cathy is so heavy and why it’s so hard for her to lose weight no matter HOW many diets she goes on!!!!! I’m doing pretty well on my diet so far (I’ve lost 10 lbs. since the start of the year. I’m currently sitting at 118 lbs. on the scale and feeling a lot better these days. Woo-hoo!!!!!) but if I had a crazy, nagging mother like Cathy’s, I’d probably weigh as much as she does too . . . also with absolutely NO HOPE of being able to lose any of it!!!!! :-(

    Hi, rgcviper!

Teresa: Cathy already has Electra. Her most recent appearance was in Sunday, May 5th’s comic — panels #3, 8 and 9. Just thought you would like to know.

hendelca: So sorry to hear about your latest scare. Was the dizziness/fall/blackout a symptom of your health problem, a symptom of the treatment/medication or did you just do too much last week and this was your body’s way of saying “Hey! You overworked me! Don’t ever do that again!”? Hope you feel better soon!!!!!

Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow “Cathy” fanatics. One more work day then it’s the weekend again!!!!! ;-)

lindz.coop, lightenup, GretchensMom – Thanks for your kind words. The low hemoglobin and hence the blackout was caused by a combination of the immune disorder itself plus the chemo treatments – although I did rather push it last week (but it felt good to be useful!). My wife is making VERY sure that I don’t get to that state again. Plus, I have no intentions of falling again either. It hurts when you hit the wall and the floor. If I feel the least bit dizzy I move very slowly and carefully – although since getting the transfusion I am feeling much more stable. Re the strip: Hmmmmm – I am too much like Cathy – when stressed, I eat too much. In spite of everything else this winter, the silver lining in the cloud is I did lose 30 pounds so am now very close to the same weight I was when I got married almost 37 years ago. I plan to stay at this weight now. Fortunately most of my stress has been self inflicted so can be, hopefully, avoided with a little different outlook on life.

hendelcaa — so glad you are taking precautions and I hope you have no further injuries. I don’t know when she arrived, but yes, Cathy does have Electra at this point. As for the ice cream — I do things like that too — therapy does help. Get thee to a shrink Cathy!!

How Cathy managed to hold her tongue here is beyond me.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
