Cathy: I need one more photo album in the star pattern to complete my lifelong dream of having a decade of photos organized into matching albums! Saleswoman: The star pattern has been discontinued. Cathy: I chose the star pattern because it was the one you said you always had. Saleswoman: We always used to have it, but it was discontinued, so now we don't have it anymore. Cathy: I just put 9 1/2 years in the star pattern! I'm begging you! Let me finish one thing in my life!! Saleswoman: We're out of the star pattern, but we're over-stocked on blame. Cathy: If the rest of my life is chaos, it's all your fault!!!

I’d feel the same way as Cathy. Things that match look good, and it would look strange to have one a different pattern.

Should have bought 10 albums at once if that was your plan, Cathy. You don’t seem to worry about being frugal, so I’m surprised you didn’t. Maybe you’ll just have to start over with the polka dot pattern. “The best-laid plans….”TGIF, Cathy Clan!

A decade is 10 years. If she knew without a doubt that she wanted every single one of those years to be in the exact same star pattern photo album, then why in the world didn’t she just go ahead and buy all 10 of them at the exact same time?!? I WOULD say that that’s what any normal, rational, sane person would do . . . but then, this is CATHY we’re talking about . . . one of the most abnormal, irrational and insane people I’ve ever “met” in my life!!!!! ;-)

Frustrating, since I kinda see Cathy’s point.
However …
(HI, MOM!)I’m more with you about how Cathy could’ve bought everything at once. And, I’m with you 100% on Cathy being … NOT normal, rational, sane. Ha.
Happy Friday, Clan.

I can also see Cathy’s point. I’m a little tired of everything I like being discontinued. I’ve pretty much stopped shopping at one market because they’ve discontinued my toothpaste, yogurt, face cream, peanut butter, soap, and a few other things I can’t think of at the moment. It’s not really all their fault, the manufacturers just keep deciding that if it’s not the most popular flavor etc., they just won’t carry it any more. It’s frustrating.
