In Cathy’s case, dope — er, I mean, hope — springs eternal! eye roll

And part of the reason that Cathy never got the beachfront cottage or a European vacation (other than the trip to Paris that she took with her mother years ago) is that she spends all of her money at the mall and just kind of passively expects the universe to drop the rest into her lap without any effort on her part.

Cathy has a photo of an organized bathroom cabinet on her desk?? Ever wonder why you keep getting passed over for that promotion, Cathy? Hmm, something to ponder… EYEROLLGood morning, Cathy clan! Counting down the days to our last cheerleading competition this weekend… Can’t wait until it’s done and I can have my life back! Sigh, the things we do for our loved ones…Hope you all are doing well! hendelca, how are you doing?

Cathy actually got something organized. lol Hang in there lightenup. They payoff will come. Happy day all.

Paaaaaathetic.

While I haven’t worked outside my house since August 2001, when I DID work, I always kept 2 of my favorite photos in the whole world of my husband and me on my desk — one from our wedding, and one from our Hawaiian honeymoon. Those pictures were like a life-line that kept ME going on a lot of really bad days stuck in a completely depressing, unhappy, unfulfilling, dead-end job for the 3 years that I worked in that hell-hole (before I finally, happily got laid off from there!). So while I think it’s kind of stupid for Cathy to keep a photo of an organized bathroom cabinet on her desk (as opposed to a cute picture of Electra, instead) . . . I’ll just simply say: “Hey! Whatever makes you happy and helps you get through your day until you can go home again!!!!!”

lightenup: Glad to hear there’s at least ONE light at the end of your tunnel with the upcoming end of cheerleader competitions this weekend (at least for a while anyhow!). Hopefully there are many more “lights” to come for you!!! ;-)

So right Mom!! So sorry lightenup — good that you are talking with Jr about her sadness. What makes it all worthwhile for me is when my clients say that their lives are getting better because of the sometimes very difficult therapy they are doing.
