Oh Cathy! Even you don’t listen to yourself, do you? EYEROLLGood morning, Cathy Clan!! The kids are off to school, hubby is off to work (even going on a trip today). I finally get the house to myself! Getting up early is a small price to pay…I hope it doesn’t sound mean, but I need a little alone time sometimes and I just can’t get anything done with everyone home.Hope everyone got their taxes done! We e-filed yesterday, so that was a good feeling. Hendelca, I thought you were in Canada. Is your tax day also April 15? I’m sorry about your Scotland trip, but I’m glad you have Disney World scheduled. Disney is always fun! Scotland will be a blast too and now you have 2 years of great trips to look forward to! I’m happy for you!Off to the chiropractor again… The 1 night trip on Friday hurt my back again, but at least I’m standing up straight still. :-)

Cathy there are plenty of places you can shop that won’t break the bank.
Good morning legaleagle, lightenup, Macushlalondra and the rest of the clan. Hope you all have a very good week in case I don’t find time to comment again.
@ lightenup it’s ok to want some “me” time every once in awhile. I have 5 children at home so I can usually only get alone time when the children are in school, the hubby goes to school as well and works nights. I only have class Tues & Thurs so it works out well.
My youngest, who’s 8, was upset yesterday because we went to a “no kids allowed” bday party for a family member who turned 60, without her. She’s mad at me, but not her dad. :-)

She can still HAVE all those goodies if she’d just shop around for a less expensive item just like the one she wants. But no…she wants to buy those fancy labels and flash them around. The designers AND the IRS get her hard earned money. She makes it, she has no dependents. She should spend it where she wants and not have all these useless regrets later.

If you have to excuse and justify every bad, expensive purchase you’ve made (unnecessarily draining your bank account in the process) but you wouldn’t change a thing if you had a chance to do it all over again . . . then there’s no use bitching and complaining about it!!!!! What’s done is done. Without remorse and a promise to do better where your money is concerned, regrets are absolutely useless so you might as well just forget about it. Simply accept the fact that you’re a complete shopaholic that will NEVER have any money unless you quit buying expensive things that can be bought bought for less elsewhere with a little bit of ambition and research — or, better still, simply not bought at all — and move on! [huge EYE ROLL!!!]
Hi, rgcviper!
hendelca: Sorry about your cancelled Scotland trip but there’s always next year and the upcoming Disney World vacation will still be a lot of fun!
lightenup: Don’t feel bad about needing your “me” time every now and then because we ALL do! No matter how much you love your family, it’s also good to be able to breathe, decompress and get things done that can’t always be done when there’s other people around. We’ve ALL been there so don’t worry that anyone’s judging you harshly for feeling that way. Enjoy your time alone while you can because it’ll all reverse itself again soon enough! Meanwhile, hope your back gets to feeling better soon!
Hello and Happy Monday, “Cathy” friends! Hope everyone got their taxes done on time and without too much stress. I also hope you’re having a really great day too!!!!!

“All remorse, no regrets.” I see why Mom said that, but it’s kinda hard to wrap your brain around.lightenup – in response to your comments on Saturday: I’m originally from Atlanta but live in LaGrange now. I LOVE North Georgia and try to get up there a couple of times a year. I usually get in a side trip to the Dawsonville outlets. And I did the steps at Amicalola last November! The front of my thighs is where I was sore for a couple of days!Terri — good catch on the Roman numerals yesterday!Have a great week, Clan!

Four pairs of jeans is a lot? Huh. I always buy that many! I go through them fast, so when you can find your favorite pair you get more than one! :)

Uncanny. Before reading today’s comic, I said to myself: "OK—[eye-roll] time.’
Then, lo and behold …
HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.
