Good morning vagabonds. My New York house guest is leaving today after spending almost a month with me in Miami. I was really spoiled by him driving me everywhere. I waste more time waiting for buses here in Miami.
PS – I won big at Bingo Saturday night for once, but “winning” is not the reason I play Bingo – I enjoy the ambiance of my fellow players. I have been assigned to buy a new Bingo set – I have a choice of K-Mart, Target, Wolmart or Toys-R-Us.

Easter is early this year.Before doing my toon ture I was updating the church website, and in doing the calender I found myself wrighting in the Easter services. (wow).And you may notice my avitar, yes I’m getting antsy for spring..ttfn
We got about a half inch of snow during the night. Enough to cover everything nicely. Took My Mtn. Man about 5 minutes to blow off the concrete pad of the driveway. :))
Arye, are the buses more efficient in NY? More of them, less wait? When we lived in SoCal, they ran every half hour on the busy streets, and every hour elsewhere. No wonder everyone drove.

been cool here in SE GA. same as Fl. half of FLA farmers had to spray water in the fields to keep crops from freezing- back to the 70’s here by the weekend.

@Jan & Florchi: Shirtail Slim sent me an email this morning commenting on the email I sent out about Roy Rogers. Florchi, I couldn’t send it to you as I don’t have your email address. I don’t abuse email priveleges, but only send out items that I believe are enriching to our group.
@Montana Lady: The buses in New York used to come every 5 minutes; some still do, but now it’s often every 10 or 15 minutes. In Miami it’s every 1/2 hour, but once I waited an hour and 1/2 for bus! There’s a free shuttle bus that comes by my building every hour during business/non-holiday hours. I wish I could walk the way I used to but now I’m out of breath if I walk even a few yards.
Had 3 to 5 inches of snow over night. It was about 15 to 20 degrees and the wind was blowing up to 55 mph so we had a lot of drifting from bare ground to 12 inches deep. Today is sunny, in the 30s and still blowing. After I cleared the snow in the driveway the sun melted the rest of it. Can’t wait for spring.
Florchi: I just got a reply back on facebook from Slim. He’s alive and well and says he’s been “kinda hermiting” lately. He also says he reads our comments.I for one am glad to know he’s ok.

It’s been beautiful weather here for the last few days. A bit windy sometimes, but mostly mid to high 60’s and bright sunshine. Shirt-sleeve weather.
Florchi, I checked facebook and the last time he posted there was Valentine’s day. I did leave a message for him telling him that we are worried.

I just got a reply from Slim from my E-mail…..same thing…..just hermiting. It just is nice that we have a way of contacting each other. :))
