Good Morning, Vagabonds. AT&T convinced me that installing a new modem (for free) and having a technician rewire my phone and internet wires would make for a cheaper bill and better quality internet. However, now my cordless phone isn’t by my bed. I can keep the phone by my bed, but the cradle, where my messages are stored, is at the other end of my bedroom and on the floor (true, my hip joint doesn’t hurt anymore, but it’s annoying to bend down to hear my messages). Also, my home page is no longer Hotmail and there are extension cords on the floor. I’m sorry I let AT&T talk me into this.

Arye, it is very simple to reset your home page. I don’t know which browser you use, but on most of them if you go to the page you want to use (hotmail), then there should be some kind of “tools” menu and under that something like “options”. From that dialog box you should be able to tell it to use the current page as your home page. Good luck.

Good morning, Vagabonds. It’s one of those sleepless nights for me again, so I’m up and ’tooning.

Good day Vagabonds..Snowing, temps in the mid twentys..Members of VAST should be happy. (that is Vermont Association of Snow Travelers).I remember the days before Vast in the mid sixtys. You hear a roar and look out the window to see a sworm of snowmobles going up the hill, or down. I was a kid, didn’t bother me. (what bothered me was, I didn’t have one).Oh, just one more thing, in what 1962 movie was the Henry Mancini music “Baby Elephant Walk” first heard..Later dudes..ttfn

Oh, my Orthopedic appointment went as I expected. I’m going for the “nerve” test EMG but not until the end of the month. Then another 2 weeks to see the Orthopedic guy again. I hate waiting!

@Arye Uygur:I don’t know why the installer put the cradle on the floor. Don’t you have a small table he could have put it on? It should have been put with the phone. If it was me, I would call up A.T & T. and raise the roof and tell them to send someone out to do a proper job. If it doesn’t work, go higher in management until you get results. Remember," the squeeky wheel gets the grease."

Love the movie with “Baby Elephant Walk”. Just watched it a short while ago.

Arye: your link to the anti-lullaby from Mary Poppins came a little to late to put me to sleep last night, but it did lead me deeper into You Tube videos of Downton Abbey. I just spent more than an hour watching cast interviews. I bought all three seasons on Blu-Ray and watched all of the episodes in about 5 days. I’ve even seen the final episode that hasn’t aired on PBS yet. I guess you can say I’m hooked good and solid.
