Nominees are Argo, Amour, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook, & Zero Dark Thirty. Amour, Beasts, Pi, Lincoln & Silver Linings also have a “Best Director” nomination – the last pic to win “Best Pic” without a director nomination was 1989’s Driving Miss Daisy. However, Ben Affleck’s Argo has been winning other awards left and right…so is there a chance for another exception? LIST OF BEST FILMS OVER THE YEARS

We have not seen any of the current Oscar nominations. Of them all, I am waiting for Lincoln to come out on DVD.
We got some snow!!! Only about 4 or 5 inches at our house, but the ski resort 13 miles west of us got 13 inches in the last 24 hours. Woo Hoo! It’s been over a month since the last snowfall.
