There is a difference. KFC is batter dipped chicken cooked in an industrial deep fryer pressure cooker and held under heat lamps until it is served in cardboard with flavorless gravy out of a bag in Styrofoam cups. Strouds is fresh floured dredged chicken cooked on a stove in cast iron skillets and served on your plate with real chicken gravy made fresh from the skillet.

This is from the Cowtown vault. The old Stroud’s closed on New Year’s day in 2006. The new one opened up in our neighborhood years later and we get our gravy on about once a month. Happy New Year to all!
