Louie, he’s just protecting your pads. Salt is another culprit of bleeding dog feet. I don’t like the concept of dog boots, but in the city with salt, I agree to them. Jagged ice too.

Sled dogs wear booties. In long races, such as the Iditarod, and the Yukon Quest, each dog wears out dozens of pairs. The dog’s feet would simply not last a day (100 miles of running) without the booties. <>iditarod.com/<>www.yukonquest.com/
