Good morning, Vagabonds. I started reading “The Children of Abraham” by Marek Halter after a friend gave it to me Sunday at the genealogical meeting. It’s 377 pages and as of now I have 42 pages left to read.
Morning, Village.@Arye – You’re a much faster reader than I am.
The SPR is meeting today with the District Superintendent to begin working toward the pastoral change. Then, after the meeting, I’m driving to Houston to visit a church member in the hospital.
Hello, all you happy people..Raining, fog, and 44 outside, the weather is better then a yo-yo..I thought of a story about my grandfather as a boy, my dad told this to me: I don’t how old Rubin (my granddad) was at the time, but it was early 20th century. Rubin and a friend had been playing at another friend house. It was after dark, and these people loved to tell scarry storys. Well Rubin and friend had to go home, the door was closed and locked. (I think they scared them selves)Well the boys were not out of the yard when a deep booming voice said “Howdy boys, howdy.”It was a fellow who was looking for directions.I really don’t know what happened then, but, I can imagine..Well come another day..ttfn
Sunny and about 50 right now. Supposed to get up to the mid-sixties today and for the rest of the week. I guess the rain is over for a while.
dkram: when my son was in the boy scouts, one of the mothers had a real talent for scary stories. We took the whole troop on a campout in Northern CA (very small troop – only 7 boys) and the story-teller and her family came along. She kept those boys absolutely enthralled for more than an hour around the campfire.
It’s 40 degrees right now………probably will get just a tad warmer.
I started a window garden 2 weeks ago. Three small planters………one with lettuce, and two with red potatoes. I know they like winter/spring weather, and I have them in a very sunny window. They look great. Will see how they fare in about a month.
How is everyone in the great East? That huge storm sure looked BAD!!!!
