I am curious to read the very last comic strip of Mutt & Jeff. Did it announce the end of the comic like “Out of the Gene Pool” did or it just petered out?
It’s interesting how bosses and others of authority in Mutt and Jeff are often attired, whiskered, etc. in a late 19th or very early 20th century style. Was that typical of the 30s and 40s?

Jeff made more $ in 3 hours playing dice than he did on his job. He was probably making about .75c an hour back in those days.
