Hola vagabonds. Again I went swimming for an hour; it’ll take a lot more than that to get rid of my stomach. I just played a DVD of the film “Ararat.” Very interesting; I loved the Armenian music.

Last night, just after I started my AZcentral comics, I read the “Blondie” strip. Stopped AZcsntral immediately and went to facebook. I said there the following, as well as I remember:“Those of you who post several times a day with personal meaningless trivia should read the Friday “Blondie: comic strip. I agree with her one hundred percent. And if reading this angers you, then you’re probably one of them.”I know this isn’t letter perfect, but it is very close to what I said.

Morning, Village.Slim, I agree with you. One reason I quit going to FaceBook was I got tired of having to wade through all the senseless crap people expected me to read. Not only the trivial of their menial lives, but the religious devotions, the political downloads and the invitations to play time wasting games.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Slim, I agree with you and David. While I’ve never been on Facebook, I was on “My Space” with most of my extended family. The amount of nonsense posted there and the dumb games were mind-numbing.

We’ve been watching dvd’s of TV shows lately, notably the first season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. It is such a kick to see the characters and how they have matured over the years. We also watched a couple of episodes of Murder, She Wrote. Those are fun because of the guest stars. Someone once wrote that you could always guess the murderer by who was the biggest name guest star. Not always true, but enough to make it funny.

I have never done Facebook either but two of my grandchildren report some of the things they see that other members of my family post. They tell me that I don’t want to waste my time.

I signed on to Facebook to see our local news program’s page because I had submitted some sunrise photos, and they said that they posted it there. Saw the pages of 2 friends, read some of the “stuff”, and never went back! I do visit the KXLH page occasionally because it is mainly news stuff, similar to their news website. I just can’t see wasting my time this way. Too many other fun things to do!

We’re warming up……only got down to 14 last night, and up to 27 yesterday. YaaaaHoooo! All week it’s supposed to be in the 30’s. I can go out for walks again!

Jan, we also are watching the TV series Murder She Wrote. We’re in the last season now. Its really neat to see how Angela Lansbury has aged so beautifully! She’s a favorite! In the last few seasons, the “guest” stars have been people we never heard of. Guess the Oldies have retired or passed on.

Good morning, vagabonds. I lost at Bingo but had a good time meeting my nighbor/friends. I stood 3 games out but watched my card to see if I would win and was so happy that I didn’t win those games.

It’s 2:38 and I’m doing a wash. The washing machine room is right next to my apartment door and at this hour I have the 2 machines to myself.

    Two complete dato go!

Morning Vagabonds..I was getting around yesterday and didn’t get to post..Saw “The Hobbit” yesterday afternoon, it was true to the story with a lot of embellishment and extras. First time I ever saw a movie that didn’t cut alot out so as to fit a story into a movie..I find Facebook to be annoying, but I look through nearly every day. I like to see some of the pictures, they are pretty, nice, and funny, I save them and use them as Avitars..ttfn

Happy Little Christmas, Everyone. As a child, the Polish church had a special Mass, and we all went. Eastern Europe still celebrates it as Christmas, and giving of gifts like Florchi said.

We still leave our decorations up until the 6th. (we use an artificial tree now, so leaving that up is not a fire hazard) This brings a little of my childhood memories back.

I’ve been missing the 3-kings day parade in Little Havana for the past few years because it’s celebrated way after that day. I try to go to Merida after 3-Kings Day because every time there’s a holiday in Merida things are a mess. Never go there during Carnaval time: Not only it’s hard to cross the streets because of all the onlooker stands, but the ATM machines run out of cash for several days as the banks take a holiday.
