Good morning, Vagabonds Yesterday I was in the pool for an hour not touching any surfaces while treading (or is it tredding?) water. The pool is nicely heated.
I just finished proofreading a Crimean Tatar’s book he wrote in English (sometimes my own typos need proofreading).
@DAVId, It’s true: Once you retire you wonder how you had the time to attend to yourself.
@RITA: Yesterday I wrote what I eat and where I stay in Yucatan.
@DKRAM: I never told you that one of my great grandmothers is buried in a cemetery in Burlington, VT. I’ve never visited her grave – I hope to one day. She died in the 1920s.

Good morning Vagabonds..In the wee hours of the morning Mother Earth glided by the same point in her path that she did sixty years ago when I was born.Then, I’m told there was one whale of a snow storm.Now, it is bitterly cold, David, may be you should cover your eyes, It’s 15 below zero..Sunrise on the ridge acrossed the valley, lighting up the top, and the wind mills up there. kind of nice..ttfn
@davidf42:What I was talking about was doing the chores to run your household like shopping, running errands, paying bills, etc. Not doing what other people want you to do.
One of the things I really enjoy about this group is the diverse weather reports. At various times of the year, we are all jealous of each other’s locale. Right now, I would like to move in with Florchi. It’s still below freezing here.
A friend of mine is heavily into sewing and when my Mom passed away I gave her all of Mom’s sewing supplies since no one in the family wanted them. She found several of Mom’s unfinished craft projects (mostly cross stitch) in the stash of fabrics. This year for Christmas, she gave me three cross stitch ornaments that Mom had started and she finished for me. I was so touched I cried and every time I tried to email her my appreciation, I cried again. It took me until yesterday to finally get myself together enough to thank her. (Even now, I’m a bit misty.)
Just put the coffee on, and getting caught up in all your lives. Thanks for answering me, Arye. I find it fascinating how you get out about and do very well in other cultures! I like how you easily make new friends! It wasn’t until we retired that we take the time to talk to the people as we travel. Before, it was hurry up, we have to get back home in 2 weeks. Now, we do a lot of “smelling the roses”!

I was just going over the 2012 calendar before I threw it away. We had 20 days of weather over 90 degrees last summer. It has been recorded as one of the hottest for Helena. You all are welcome to camp out up here. And, as for wearing shorts…….My Mtn Man wears shorts year round! Crazy, huh! The last time he wore long pants was July, 2011 for our son’s wedding!!!!
