My dad quit smoking and came down with cancer. No evidence until he stopped. But may have been coming anyway. I am waiting for the second hand to get me. Ahhh. Never mind. Live everyday. Have a great New Year everyone.
Will be nine years this February. (took me a month to start, lol). I will still on occasion walk behind someone who just lit a cigerette. .Denver is too far for a smoke – Washington state is much closer. And they have good munchies. .Happy New Year!
I quit 35 years ago, and I never could stand the smell. The worst part was I had to stop drinking coffee for a couple of years. Every morning when I drink my first coffee, I want a smoke. – damn, that is addiction!
@Octagon- Fantastic. Hang in there. Remember to take it one day at a time. OK, I’m out of cliches. Seriously, I lost my Dad to smoking. Never go back, you’ll never regret it. I’m pulling for you.
What really amazed me, when I quit smoking, was that I could really taste food and stopped "salt poisoning " my foods. I use a fraction of the salt I used to, when I smoked.

You want to get lots of that cinnamon chewing gum. Atomic fireballs are good, too.

What a unique idea. More stores should have an aisle labeled “junk food”.
