This is what happens when the Spendocrats take over. Thank God they don’t have the U.S. House of Reps. or else NONE of the Bush tax cuts would have a prayer of surviving. Interesting that Ca. has among the highest taxes in the country yet has one of the largest debts. How could this be? Hmm…
It’s my understanding that the Federal Government while Obama has been President has borrowed more money than all the previous Presidents combined have borrowed. And that’s going back to Washington.
Let me get this straight. You boneheads are arguing over who was the bigger wastrel? Get a grip. Any deficit spending is not a “truly” conservative tactic! I guess that makes the Republican party just another liberal organization.
P. S. Dimocrats started most of the wars this country has been involved in!
California is hostile to business owners large and small. They will overregulate and overtax anyone that does not follow standard liberal dogma. Thank heavens I left.
So we have Gov. Jerry Brown in his CA Santa hat marking off of names about to get all of the coal/tax in his santa bag. The nice shiny gift behind him is where I’m confused. Was it a gift FROM the unions which he is about to repay with coal, or is the shiny gift TO the unions while the rest of the state gets coal?Unions have their foundation in desperate peoples providing trained services under unsafe/unfair conditions. As with most organizations of humans, they have had their saints and sinners, but our nation is better because of them. Union members spoke up to keep products safe, to protect the communities in which production occurred, and to improve safety for workers. Over the last few decades, their power has decreased as a large population of relatively educated people has given management access to a less organized work force. While there are unions who deserve all of the scorn and criticism union leadership has acquire, there are other unions that epitomize a high quality group of professionals looking for fairness and the common good. Police and Firefighter unions come first to mind.Calif has often set a good example for how to deal with issues, I hope their ongoing experiment in recovery succeeds, for all of our sakes.Respectfully,& Happy Holidayze,C.
Better yet, read “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand. Find out why the ethics of altruism (either religious or societal) leads to death of society and the individual.

Tell all the men and women wearing armed services uniforms the “wars” lasted all of two weeks…
Your disconnect with reality is so sad it is hilarious.

We pay plenty of taxes. The problem is that we spend so much. Leave Planned Parenthood on its own.
