But there’s STILL no smoking in the air (and the sleigh’s lavatories have been equipped with smoke detectors for your safety and convenience).

Hey don’t give Colorado all the publicity. In Washington State we too have legalized pot so Santa & his reindeer can get high here also.

Compare the incidents of people killed or injured while on MJ or by people in MJ to similar incidents with booze. Maybe the grass growers are on to something at that.

Interesting Mike knows exactly how to draw this image.

Interesting the pill I took this morning for chronic nerve pain is considered “safe”, but mj makes everyone worried about stoners, who aren’t half as blasted as a lot of folks taking the same legal med I did. (I use even legal drugs in moderation, as being just out of pain, not “blasted” is the goal.) BTW, the three pain control meds I get from the pharmacy can ALL kill with an o.d., but that’s impossible to achieve on marijuana.

A couple of years ago I floated the idea (in a comment on a Ben Sargent cartoon) for a novelty Christmas song called “What’s In The Pipe, Santa?.” It’s told from the point of view of a State Trooper working on Christmas Eve who pulls over a sleigh for going over the speed limit. In response to the officer’s questioning, the driver won’t do anything but giggle and offer cookies (attempted bribery?). It occurs to me that there’s a likely pun when the trooper radios in that he’s got “Probable Claus” (maybe that’s when the dispatcher tells him to drop it after a warning?).

If anybody wants to record this, they’re welcome to it (just mention my name). It ought to make millions, and anything’s better than “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.”

Watch the statistics grow for car accidents. Insurance companies will raise premiums to cover a 15% increase in collisions.

“How high were you floating at the time? ;^)”

I was as grounded as I ever am (which may not be saying much). I don’t partake of the herb; it makes me paranoid and hurts my lungs and I get headaches and I start emitting tiny little burps…erperperp. I sometimes wish the experience DID give me pleasure, because it’s more socially acceptable here in San Francisco than tobacco (my drug of choice).

1st off, pot is a controlled substance, as are prescriptions, if it can’t be sold to just any one (ie. minors).I liked the way Nevada worded their legalizing law several years ago (it failed). It doubled the penalties of “driving while impared”, AND like most laws, if one part of it was struck down (like say the selling pot part) the rest of it remained in effect (like twice the jail/fines)
