Problem is: compromise to a dem means doing it their way.You seem to forget that Obama offered a compromise with the Republicans during previous budget negotiations of $10 in budget cuts for every $1 in raised taxes. The Republicans refused.

Not unlike Republicans Scott. This was epitomized by Richard Mourdock saying “have a mindset that says bipartisanship ought to consist of Democrats coming to the Republican point of view”, to which no one on the right disagreed. Your political observations would carry more weight if they didn’t seem designed to obscure truth rather than highlight it.
Maybe John Roberts lied when he said it WAS a tax? There are two sides to every story. I personally believe it’s whatever it was called when Dubya put the same language in its original form, Medicare Part D. It’s constitutional when a Republican puts it in his bill, evidently.

Um, that was just a flip. No flop, and certainly no back and forth, which flip-flopping by its nature requires. Silly Mr. Summers.

Well, you know, this time it’s for the good of the country.-Besides, flip-flopping is okay if a Republican does it.

Everybody ignores the fact that every Dem pledges to raise taxes as much as possible.

Do you honestly not see a difference between lying to get elected and deciding not to follow through on a promise to help tank the economy?

but when roberts, scalia, thomas, souter make a decision the reps don’t like, they are LIBERAL ACTIVIST judges.
LIBERAL is not a dirty word.
