Ima: the debt in Viet Nam was the loss of human life. Over 58,000 for “us”, and over a million for “them”, and they were fighting for THEIR country. The financial cost was actually relatively minor, when compared to Iraq and Afghanistan.
But even ONE life lost to invade Iraq, was too much cost, and too much “debt”. Afghanistan should have been only an attack on a few hundred folks in camps in the north, and one “individual” in particular, but for over a decade, the waste, is far more than the “debt”.
TCL, appreciate the TLC effort. Hope you find another gainful employment quickly.
As you’re aware, appreciate good, revealing, “debate”, and new information sources from intelligent folks who actually “consider the source” of what they pass on. Opinions indeed can differ, even on facts, but creating “facts” from thin air to form (or justify) opinion is dangerous to us all.

And Nixon took us of the gold standard which caused the money-printing free for all that we’ve enjoyed ever since.

Ima’s once again reporting “false facts from the bubble”.
During the entire Viet Nam war period, the US national debt rose from about $0.3 trillion to $0.5 trillion.
So for Ima to say, “No one cared when debt was rolling during the Vietnam war.” is……I’ll be polite……uninformed.

There are other words most people use than knowledge and wisdom. None of them polite.

Here we are a a debt ceiling again. Yes again and yet we will not reduce spending? And there’s a fight in DC about this concept?
