Aw, Marm is behind the times. Back when doggie’s strip was new, another comic strip star, Joe Palooka, bought a regular hose when his wife wanted a sprinkler or soaker hose. Instead of asking Marmaduke for help, he just put on his spiked golfing shoes and walked all over it!

So now it’s a soaker hose. They were quite popular in the 70s.
