Dry: The discrepancy in the clocks we’ve been looking at is thus: I believe that the www.xmasclock.com is NOT including December 25th, which is accurate (meaning, it stops counting at 00:00:00AM 2012-12-25EST.Where as, Peanuts-Holiday-Clock counts until 11:59:59PM 2012-12-25 EST (as does I believe, your newspaper).THUS (since really, they shouldn’t include the ‘day of’) just realize that those clocks are off by 12 to 24 hours.

I quit reading most of the comics page but I never miss Overboard, Pearls Before Swine and Ten Cats. I just love the way Chip loves the animals – even the giant purple cats.

It’s never easy to lose one’s job at any time. I hope you find a job soon. As for gift giving, Jews do it, Muslims do it, everyone with kids do it. Christians buy gifts because they can be as secular as anyone, unfortunately. Hopefully, most of realize the gifts are not what Christmas is all about.
