Sadly accurate. I hope the Republicans will re-examine their policies and help balance bills in a good faith bipartisan way. I also hope Mr. Obama will chastise his party leaders if they fail to do the same. If Pelosi had shown more respect and bipartisanship in 2009, I believe more Republicans would have voted their conscience instead of the Norquist line. Conservatives have a lot to offer to bills. There are too many great minds on the right to be ignored. There are also a lot of idiots on the left who need to be ignored as much as some of the extremists on the right. We need a centrist government that will do the easy things today, the hard things next week, the difficult things next month, and the impossible things next year, or later if need be. We are such a wonderful people and my many friends overseas really do look to us and at us with hope for their own countries. Respectfully,C.

both parties have excellent agendas, they just can’t get rid of the turd-burglars like pelosi, gingrich, etc., that screw up the works for the rest of the nation. c’mon: how stupid did the gop runoff for candidate look, back with newt, palin, and romney? and that was the best they came up with? ick. sarah palin

The first thing is to get ahead of Norquist (Which Boehner has already stated that tax inreases of any kind aer off the table) and get back onto a stable footing like when Clinton was in office. I don;t know if the “60 Minutes” show of this past Sunday is online or not, but the interview of Reid and McConnell is well worth watching.

    McConnell makes me nauseous.

Simply put, anyone who signed the “Norquist pledge”, should be removed from office. While I don’t like Reid or Pelosi, and their failure to “lead”, Boehner and McConnell both make me more than merely nauseous, they make me furious, it’s the way I react to treason.

I know that voting for President Obama was the correct thing to do. The past four years prove it, especially contrasted with the prior 8 years.

Oh also, don’t be afraid, tell your r/w reps to cooperate, and learn to compromise. But most of all, put America and Americans first and party way down the list.

great, chastisement for one side, but the other side must change.

“We can’t negotiate with those who say what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is negotiable.” With the party of Kennedy violating its own principles for power, I’m not really optimistic.
