Good morning, Vagabonds. Nine days in Miami and my 1st day on a public bus. It seemed forever to wait for the G bus. When I got home, after a 15 minute busride, I checked my recept from the store I went to. It said 3:30 PM and I went immediatly to the busstop. I got home at 5 PM completely worn out. If I could, I would’ve walked home.

And I haven’t even used the pool yet, I’ve been so busy fixing up my apartment.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

David, I am truly sorry you are in so much pain. I will continue to pray for relief for you. Will you be able to preach tomorrow?

Oh, there was a famous birthday yesterday…….Eli Wallach turned 97! Woo Hoo!

We watched Tora Tora Tora last night, and tonight we plan on watching “The Final Countdown”……a slight twist on Pearl Harbor in a surprise time travel event. Very good film, and it stars one of my favorite actors……Kirk Douglas.

David. I don’t talk about it much, but I am at some level of pain every day. I have pain pills, but I rarely take one. It has to be unbearable, and I have learned to bear a lot. When somebody asks why I don’t use them, I tell them “they feel too good”.

@DAVID: Will prednisone help? But use it only for a limited time.

Good morning, Vagabonds. My neighbors made a birthday party for my upstairs neighbor. It was really a nice party. I brought my Chanukah menorah (candelabra) in and we lit the candle for the 1st night and I sang the blessings.

The party was nice with great food. As usual, I refused the wine (I gave up alcohol 22 years ago as a matter of principal, not because of any alcohol-related problems).

Morning, Village.@Slim – Thanks for the encouraging words. I think I can hang in there. And I refuse to take pain pills before I preach. Like you, I don’t want to “feel too good.”

    Thank you Woodworker.

Happy Hanukah, Arye. And no, no prednisone. It might conflict with the other medications.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Had a wonderful time at the Christmas tea yesterday. The speaker was an Egyptian woman who had been imprisoned because of her faith. She spoke in her own language and her husband interpreted, which made for some very funny moments because she apparently understood everything he said in English.

    Good Morning, Everyone,

Jan, that sounded interesting! She must be one strong woman!

Hope everyone is well. My Mtn Man is outside shoveling the concrete pad of the driveway. There is about 8 inches of snow accumulated. An ice fog came in this morning and coated all the trees………they are all frosted white, added to the clumps of snow from the active snow. Very Pretty!

Oh, Kirk Douglas turned 96 today, and Judi Dench turned……..oops……one never tells the age of a Lady!
