Good morning, Vagabonds.>>>>>>I trust that, despite the urges, that you have returned to your regular diets. It might take a day or so to recuperate from the melee of frantic shopping on the extended “Black Friday”.Anyway, we have almost a month to prepare for another feeding occasion. Oh, what the Hey, try to restrain yourselves a little. We can all make New Years resolutions. Can’t we? :-).
Good morning, Villagers. I’m only posting now at 4:09 AM, because a friend came over at 4:30 PM with a load of different kinds of newspapers. Since I only have 2 full days before leaving NY, I went through them very quickly, discarding the bulk of them and saving individual pages to read at my leisure or to take to Miami to give to friends who are interested in these articles. In 3 1/2 hours I must wake up and do a heavy laundry and tonight (Monday) I will pack for Wed. morning.
I really have trouble organizing a suitcase despite my many travels (I’m not only bringing clothes, but gifts and my genealogies), but my roommate’s mother will help me pack.
Morning, Village. We had a great time in Grapevine. I visited the grave of my great grandfather, and the Lonesome Dove site. The Christmas lights downtown were beautiful. And the dinner theater was lots of fun.
Good morning, good people..Looks a little more like it should this morning, it’s snowing and not sunny. Make no mistake, I liked the sun shine, but this is normal..Yes Slim, another dose of turkey with all the fixings. (BOOM).We call people who go south in the winter, Snow Birds.Have a wonderful winter Arye..David had a good visit with his family, and ML and her MM are, hay has that wedding happened yet?.Happy Holidays Folks..ttfn
I have always loved being in areas that our Pioneers lived. I think that is part of the draw for me to live and visit so many places up in the NorthWest. Especially the wagon train areas! You can still see the ruts along the Oregon and California Trails.
Well, we bought our daughter her wedding gown! She looks positively gorgeous in it! Since the wedding isn’t until May of 2014, we could only order the dress, and she will go in for a “size” fitting somewhere next March. It takes 8 or 9 months to make the gown! They are looking at a “destination” wedding, and have they hearts set on the Grand Tetons! What a gorgeous place!
Rita, the Grand Tetons would make a wonderful place for a spring wedding. Jackson Hole is a very pretty little town. We drove by the airport when we were there a few years back to see if it was the same as in John Wayne’s movie “Hellfighters”.
Does anyone want or need a DVD copy of “Harvey” with Jimmy Stewart? I bought a duplicate and threw away the receipt.
Barely 70 this aft. Going to do the outside decorations on the porch posts and front door. If any vaga-villagers want to sent some snow here around the 25 Dec, that would be fitting.

@DKRAM: Thank you for your wishes.
@DAVID: It’s always nice to be part of tradition by seeing the grave of a distant ancestor, especially one who was a pioneer where you live.
