As I watch some of these journalists barely able to stand in the wind and rain assaulting them, I think of the scene in Day After Tomorrow when a piece of debris flies past the camera, slams into the reporter, and lifts him off the ground and out of sight.I’m curious about what the parameters are. At what point is it too dangerous to put your journalists into harms way for a weather event?C.

If news reporters have a union, the #1 priority should be the negotiation for the right to refuse to put your life in danger just to show what all TV viewers know already= how a storm looks when it is at gale wind speeds….we do not need to see that and I tune out….show me the after-storm damages, okay, but I hate the News bosses who are compelled by whatever evil instinct they have developed, to think it important to send fellow human beings into the eye of the hurricane. Volunteers, okay, but we don’t need or want a camera record of their stupidity.

“Hi, I’m here to show you what not to do. Listen to me when I tell you how to prepare for the storm and when to evacuate, but don’t go to the beach and stand here for hours waiting to get pummelled like I always do. This has been a public service announcement.”
