This must be a family business and boss man must have inherited those two from his Dad. No way anyone would hire those two chowder heads, outside of a comic strip or an Andy Griffith episode.
Since TMS owns both “Dick Tracy” AND “Gasoline Alley,” they wouldn’t really need Jim’s permission for the crossover. I think they’d probably only ask that Curtis and Staton confer with Jim to make sure Walt wasn’t featured in both strips’ stories at the same time.

@Jim Douglas. Thanks. I was wondering: When a cartoonist does a crossover, does he need permission from the cartoonist he’s crossingover from?

I’m sure they’ve put in a hard week. Today is Sunday, the day of rest. They’ll be back on Monday, if they can get across the bridge.

Surprised our oldest WWI comic strip vet isn’t making an appearance here today as well. Guess he can’t be in two places at once.

Yes! Joel and Rufus! Joel is sure a wise fellow! I enjoy his efforts every time he appears. I wonder it his creativity is due to his jug?

Nice to see a crossover between two of my favorite comic strips! Maybe one day Rufus can visit his cousin Cedric in Pine Ridge!

Dick Tracy follows this comic in my lineup. So I’ll find out in a moment.

So surprised no Veterans Day mentioned in today’s strip.

Happy Veteran’s Day? What a disappointment to see the buffoons instead.
