Barn Storming came about after World War I when out of work pilots would take their biplanes around the country landing on farms and taking people for rides for pay. It was a common practice. I suppose this was the earliest form of public airshow.
Um; has anybody beside me ever wonder what’s happened to the “fat broad”, the “looker broad” and the “midnight skulker” that’s been gone from this strip for awhile?
