Yes she was. Too bad Congress wasn’t ready with that 300million dollar request from the state department to improve security at consulates and embassies world wide….which still hasn’t been approved…but the blame game is fully underway.C.

And she works for Obama, he’s her boss. Most people do what the boss tells them to do. Sure starting to get crowded under that bus. Only thing Obama has taken responsibility for is the offing of OBL, which any American would have given the go ahead for. No credit given for the 10 years of intelligence work that made it possible.

Obama’s mantra is “The buck passes through here where I deduct a percentage to pass to others and let the agencies under me have the rest”.

All the critics should experience an attack by mortars and RPGs in what is just A HOUSE! It was NOT an “embassy”, and LIbya is STILL a war zone. Errors made? Yup, but the staff knew the potential danger, and chose to be there. “Monday morning quarterbacking” is now only exposing more details of our security operations that SHOULD NOT BE MADE PUBLIC!

Oh, btw: the next day, on Sept 12, President Obama DID describe the attack as an act of terrorism, NOT the result of “demonstrations in the region”. He also promised to pursue and get the culprits; ask bin Laden if President Obama means what he says, and can “follow up”.

On 7/16/64 Barry Goldwater called Johnson “soft on Communism”. On 8/7/64 the “Gulf of Tonkin Resolution” passed the House, 416 to 0. NOT ONE Republican voted against going to war in Viet Nam..(to be fair also, one Republican didn’t actually vote.) Every “conservative” Republican supported “my war”, including my parents who declared how proud they were I volunteered. I “lucked out” with minor injuries, but 157 of my friends are listed on “The Wall”.

In Beirut, Marines AND State Dept said to move our Marines from the “barracks” and provide safety, Reagan’s people refused.(Not blaming Reagan per se) 254 died.

Numerous Democratic Senators, including mine, voted AGAINST going to war in Iraq, but the lies, and pressure(don’t be a traitor), forced many, Republicans AND Democrats to “go along” with the lies. Over 4,000 dead Americans, and hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis paid the price of “W” and Cheney’s lies. We’re still paying in Afghanistan.

State dept assignments in many countries ARE dangerous, because our treaties, as in Libya, don’t allow massive force to be in place to defend actual “embassies”. In other developing, or transition nations, like Libya, the situation is even more dangerous, because our facilities are only temporary. Since “W”, it’s also the FACT that contractors, NOT our military, even in Iraq, take over “security” for our State Dept, folks, and even our GENERALS!

Libya was a tragedy, mistakes may have been made, but even a platoon, or possibly even a company of Marines, likely couldn’t have protected the Ambassador given the logistics, and reality, of the situation, given the weapons used on that HOUSE, and the second HOUSE, that were attacked with heavy weapons. Need I reiterate how well Mr. Gadaffi fared?? Despite all HIS troops??

Before any Republicans, candidates, pundits, or supporters, cast any stones in Obama’s direction, perhaps a review of history might be relevant? Maybe they can shake those rocks; out of their own heads?

58,000+ dead in Viet Nam. 4,000+ dead in Iraq. 2,000 now dead in Afghanistan. Four people unfortunately killed in a military raid in Benghazi. Please compare the numbers before speaking “political B.S.”.

Yes, sadly, “he” does understand.Your chain of command descriptionis correct, of course. So, case closed, right? No need for any of the back andforth between State Dept. and WhiteHouse over the last week or two.Maybe they didn’t get the memo.

September 12 was the day after Sept. 11th, no spin needed, if you use our calendar. Also the MEN we have in the Navy are are SEALS, the mammals with flippers that balance balls on their noses at Sea World are seals. Sometimes upper case, versus lower case is significant. Kinda’ like the case for all the lies about WMDs is a lot more critical to the historic outcome than a lower case “nothing” about whether an idiot video had more, or less, influence in the Middle East than decades of bombing their kids, families, and countries.
