Hmmmmm……all is not lost……Romney is on the way to being President (thankfully)……we’ll finally get someone in the office who knows how to create jobs and save the economy…..
Keep in mind that the 7.8% unemployment rate only takes into consideration people who are actively seeking work. Do the math and the real unemployment rate is around 14.7%. Then take into consideration the underemployed, college students getting an entry level position at a fast food restaurant or retail, etc… until they can find jobs in their area of study. Or the laid off engineer who had to get a job as a factory worker taking a huge pay cut. Then add in that many of the jobs added this time are temporary jobs for the holidays. When you do the math, unemployment and underemployment , the number is much larger than 7.8%.
The employment figures haven’t changed in their calculations, and it’s only a MONTHLY number that has actually little meaning! It was blown out of all proportion BY REPUBLICANS in their effort to blame Obama for what their precious INDUSTRIES and BUSINESSES have done to the work force, bringing on unemployment, and well financial breakdowns.
The real tragedy coming from the “debate” may be the increase in the percentage of ignorance, or plain stupidity, of folks influenced by the “flip flopping fraud fabricator in chief”; Mitt.
Like the 54% of dependent on government Valenzuelans-I would think that Fernando would have saved enough money from his baseball salary so as to not be one of those 47% the Willard despises.
@Justice22There’s always two sides to the coin. Here’s the deal, I can write a document, say that it will help people get jobs, call it a jobs bill. But in reality the bill actually does nothing. This is the tactic that the Democrats have been playing. Republicans tried playing nicely in adding meaningful content to the bill. But the Democrats have been more stubborn. So, what happens is that they try to pass a worthless bill, call it a “Jobs Bill.” When Republicans vote against it, they say Republicans don’t care about jobs, putting them between a rock and a hard place. It’s a nice strategy, it worked well with the health care bill. But I think the American people are getting smarter.
The real number to look at is economic growth, because growth leads to employment recovery. Since a modest recovery in 2010 the economic growth has shrunk to 1.3% (currently), and real job recovery doesn’t occur when an economy is essentially in a depression. Also, think about what businesses will do if Obama reelected. Are they going to expand and employ more people, or are they going to pack it in, draw back, and move overseas? If Obama is reelected, unemployment rates will rise to double-figures before 2013, and they’ll stay there.
BTW, if Obama’s economic policies are having ANY positive impact in the economy, then why are all of the areas that have embraced his high-tax-and-spend policies become economic wastelands? Why are the “bluest” areas in the US the most depressed? You’d think that if Obama knew the right way, places like Detroit would be Utopian, rather than ruins.

I had a great vacation in Valenzuela. You don’t see a lot of tourists there, because people don’t know about it. Somehow it’s not on most maps.

If you get to Fernando, make sure you visit the opera house. It is beautiful and a magnificent work of engineering.

Seems like Democrats were a big part of the problem in blocking the jobs bill.
