If there were to be any “reality check” changes to this strip the last panel would have the woman saying “to the mall!”

I have taught in union states and NEVER been required to join a union. On the other hand I’ve seen union members denied jobs because they were union members in several states….hmmmm wonder how that happened..

My grandfather was a butcher. When the grocery store he worked for went bankrupt, the Meatcutter’s Union found him tempory jobs so he could make ends meet and eventually helpped him find another permant position. His union dues went paying his and his family’s health insurance (even when he wasn’t working well before the existance of COBRA) and his pension. .He was never on unempolyment, his kids all went to private school (not a drain on taxpayers), he didn’t order electric wheelchairs at Medicare’s expense just because he could. And when he died his estate was taxed a pretty penny because he still had savings left to live for another 15-20 years..Now tell me again why unions, who kept people like him from having to rely on welfare government, are so bad at a time when America needs to spend less?
