Even if Iran’s leaders were so suicidal as to launch a nuclear weapon at Israel it would have to run a gauntlet of anti missles that have proven very effective against smaller faster rockets. Since Iran has no known anti missle systems, Tehran would be helpless against Israel’s own nuclear weapons. The Obama policy recognizes physical attacks against Iran will only give support to a political/religious leadership that grows in disfavor with its populace with every month sanctions go on. I have no doubt Obama will provide Israel with every resource necessary to launch a conventional attack of aircraft and missles against Iran should their leadership prepare a nuclear weapon for test or launch. I’ve only met five people from Iran/Persia, and all of them hated the government and loved America. We need to build on that love and stand firm against the haters in Iran, and in America.Respectfully,C.

I don’t get this comic. My impression is that Netanyahu would be happy for Obama to strike Iran.

Some of the people here don’t seem to appreciate the audacity it takes for a foreign head of state to interfere so directly and aggressively with an American national election. (Which is really what this is about.) In this sense, Netanyahoo is not different than Ahmadinnerjacket: a violent, irrational foreign parasite.

It’s not his army we fear it’s the backlash from the pro-Israel voters in this country…and they ain’t all Jewish.

Religion poisons everything. Here we are in the 21st century and on the verge of a century of war between Chrisitanity, Judaism, and Islam over whose invisible friend is the right one and who can make the best blood sacrifices to him . Sad, sad, sad. Pathetic. Science, technology, communications have brought us closer than we’ve ever been to solving so many problems, but these pitiful vestiges of primitive times hang on like a disease.

I understand what you said. I don’t understand the comic. Why is Netanyahu shown telling Obama to not cross the line?

SwimsWithSharks: The Likud is the ruling party in Israel and thinks it is the ruling party in the US – and frequently is. Maybe we should support Labour there and permit other parties (like Socialists and Greens) here. Otherwise we are drifting into a one-party system with two names.
