Oh Yeah? You know what will happen to YOUR PUPPIES if they aren’t adopted in a certain amount of time?

Time to let the psycho go… Do you think the director wonders why none of the animals are getting adopted?

What is sad is that this actually happened at the SPCA near us this summer. The crazy woman was fired!

Now i understand, she’s still a stupid, awful character but at least there’s a reason behind it.

Twisted thinking. Wouldn’t her puppies be happier at a loving home than in cages? Where is this thread going?

This is the last of a series I am going to read (the strip is coming off my daily read list).

I think this is the finale that is supposed to be funny.

I will say for the record that this is in no way indicative of the Nebraska Humane Society or any other rescue organization I know any thing about.

And buying puppy-mill puppies is singularly bad advice.

This strip does bother me a bit. I understand the attitudes that are becoming more prevalent today, but in the case of animal rescue organizations, I have not seen (usually) volunteers as bad as the one portrayed here. Many/most do require an in home visit as well as a interview/vetting process. But DO NOT allow this to put you off, it is the BEST way to ensure the safety and compatability of the animals they adopt out. Taking in a rescue dog is a huge responsibility and not one to be entered into lightly. It is in the best interest of both the animal and the adoptees to do this. I have adopted 2 beagles recently from the Huron Valley Animal Shelter in Ann Arbor, MI, and I cannot praise them enough. This process ensures that the animal is truly adopted into the family, as they should, and are not just a cash transaction. Investigate wherever you intend to get the animal, be patient enough to go through the process and you will be more aware and satisfied when you add that new special addition to your family.
