I don’t know why republicans hate the government of the USA so much. It’s like they hate the USA. Did they hate it when Bush was in the white house?

They do not hate the government they hate the bureaucracy that spends money that should be given to lobbyists so they can have a jobs when they retire. Its on both sides of the aisle. During the 60s people said too much was spent on wars and not enough on helping people.

Fortunately, Willard and Ryan both signed an oath to protect and defend Grover Norquist.

And under the democrats version, everyone would be payung their fair share of taxes. No one would have an unfair burden either.

Government is necessary. Government MUST be paid for. Congresspeople must show the people back home that they are working for them, thus the pork we all hate. Congresspeople want to be re-elected, thus they cater to lobbyists and we end up with corporate welfare. Some Congresspeople are downright greedy so we end up with downright despicable laws to enrichen themselves by enacting laws that help other greedy people. Then we have others who sign a pledge written by a 14 year old boy and consider it honorable to honor that oath while disregarding the welfare of the nation! There are Democrats that signed that pledge as well as almost all Republicans. Good Day!

gop is simple in concept: crash the economy, buy tons of cheap depreciated property and stocks, then let the dems salvage the mess and increase values (read enormous profit) for everyone. if it looks like mitt will win in nov, SELL! then wait for the spring crash (buy) and sit back and wait for a democrat president (this all takes about 10 years, but if you think back 10 years before mid-term obama, and 10 before midterm clinton, you’ll catch on)

Remember, it was Ashcroft and friends who couldn’t stand real justice, or the image of a bare breast, so had to authorize torture to prove he was “benevolent”.

Did I just hear that George Romney’s family was on welfare when they first came back to the US from Mexico? Well, that’s what Mrs. Romney said in a clip from back in the sixties, and I heard Mitt himself repeat it today. Gosh, who paid for that welfare? Probably a taxpayer. Were they redistributing wealth? Sounds like it. Same in my family — both my parents had to get welfare when they were kids in the great Depression, both worked hard, went to college, got good jobs, and paid it back many times over. Let’s keep helping people who need the help.
