I am ashamed of Markstein.-this ’toon is a Low Blow….mis-construing a truth Romney spoke…..about 47% of income tax filers that do not pay IRS taxes….maybe the government website should identify upfront for every viewer the categories covered that pay no income tax….and add the category that receive IRS checks to them!
10 plus years ago, I was in the 47% percent, as I didn’t pay any Income Tax. I worked in a nursing Home looking after the elderly with Alzheimers, so my pay was so low my income was effectively tax-free. I paid my rent, for my food and my bills, and never received any assistance from the Government. I never felt dependent on Government or believed I was a victim. The president, as an elected representative of all the people, should care and worry about all the people. Why is it called the House of Representatives, because your represent your constituents, all of them, not just those who voted for you.
Of the 47% who “don’t pay income tax”- 28% DO pay payroll taxes- many are in the military- many are retired people who don’t have an income.I am getting really tired of this meme…
Mike31g said, about 20 hours ago@Harleyquinn ….Mike I read your post, and thank you for not trying to be supported by the government. @motivemagnus…I am sick and tired of all you Democrats and Liberals, when the SUBJECT OF DEBATE is “income taxes” and who pays what percentage of IRS taxes…..CHANGE THE SUBJECT to payroll taxes which are nothing like income tax.workers pay a portion of FICA due, I was an employer at one time and I did the bookkeeping and I know from experience…both worker and employer pay payroll taxes, and those taxes are credited by the government for benefits to the worker at retirement. Income taxes are 100% to support the operations of the federal government, with no credits for the future for payers. It is a stupid and deceptive argument IMO.-P.S. Romney was talking about not caring that the 47% would vote for Obama’s Welfare State re-election and never vote for Romney….he was not talking about the fact that as President, he also would care about ALL CITIZENS.You Pro-Obama posters and MSM are totally unreasonable.
If Romney would release ten year’s income tax like a good ethical candidate with nothing to hide would, it would be known if he was one of the 47%. Or more likely, how many years in the last ten he was a 47 per-center.
Only a conservative would vote for someone who disrespects him..Now that’s funny since you are such a fan of o. How much respect does he have for you? You’re not a voter, so I’d be willing to guess, none.
Yet another thread where Willard supporters rationalize his tax evasion, willfully ignore the burden of payroll taxes, and have nothing good to say about their candidate.-Couldn’t they express how he’s unwilling to deal with China because it’s our adversary? Oh, wait…

And how often do you quote “…you didn’t build that…” out of context?

Not only do you make empty, childish threats on an internet forum, you cowardly state you cannot fight your own make-believe battles? I’m impressed.

Don’t you believe in flat tax? Well, Romney pays LESS than the rest of us poor mortals. If he paid the middle class 35%, I’d be fine.
