although they could be frustrating when i was trying to win something by calling my favorite radio station’s contest line back in the late ’60’s, i, too miss rotary phones…

I’m so fed up with the smart phone hype (just another way the companies try to make you spend more hard earned money) that the next time I need a new cell phone, I’ll ask them if they have one with a rotary dial.

There is an actual handset phone reciever you can plug into your phone and talk on. Its shaped just like the one above. They are reasonable too.. Of course it won’t help with the stupid touch screen dialing…… Here’s a link to copy and paste of Amazon search results~

I’m waiting for the anti land line strip along the same line. I will never willingly give up my land line for a cell phone. I treasure my privacy and except for emergencies on a road trip (for example) I see no reason for one. I don’t want people to be able to bother me at anytime they wish. I don’t want to be talking or texting in the line at the store or while driving. The insurance companies say that people who talk or text while driving are just as dangerous as a person driving drunk. I am all in favor of a TOTAL ban on cell phone use while driving an automobile.

Did you know that the dial telephone mechanism was one of the most reliable and effecient devices ever invented? Despite thousands of make-break acuations of the contacts, did you ever hear of one failing?
