So, this cartoon is NOT about graffiti being worse than being gay? Good. I hope Banksy is doing well.^http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=banksy&qpvt=banksy&FORM=IGRE^A stress management teacher I had used to say Hate causes heart attacks and Depression causes strokes. The sign painter in the cartoon above may have been very angry, or very sad. I am curious…are there any here who are against gay marriage who do NOT have a religious reason for having that position? Is there a verse in the New Testament where Jesus speaks against homosexuals? I know he says a lot about the rich who do not take care of the poor. His words, written in red, are very critical of religious leaders who he considered hypocrites.I see in Matthew 3:17 where we are told Jesus was not sent to condemn the world, but to save it. So please pardon my confusion. As a believer, I feel a duty to be polite and respectful to all. As a human being, I’ve often failed to maintain that composure, but I do try. If I didn’t believe in God, or an afterlife, or in the example that Jesus said he came to set…I would only have the laws of man and that last episode of CSI to make me behave myself.^As I consider the godless heathens who comment on this forum and who generally speak with tolerance and patience, I wonder why they make the effort? Fear of GC moderators?Or maybe they were just raised to be polite and thoughtful. Maybe they feel a responsibility to be humane? I can’t explain it. And btw, when I say godless heathens, I’m being silly. I mean people who do not believe in the God of Abraham worshiped by Christians, Jews, and Muslims, but sadly, to some Christians, even Jews and Muslims are doomed to Hell. To some sects within the Christian faith, other Christians are going to Hell. I guarantee you that you will one day learn the truth, OR, you’re not going to care.^I do wonder about the “Christians” who post angry, judgmental, and downright mean comments while defending their beliefs in Jesus. Too many are quick to accuse gays and “pro choice” people, but slow to criticize the practices Jesus specifically spoke against in the bible. The “sin” of irresponsible wealth. Failure to care for the “least of these”. To avoid looking at the splinter in your brother’s eye while you have a beam in your own. I can go on, and on, and on.Jesus gave a definition of what love is and in this Easter season, it is the duty of believers to LIVE that definition.^I say this in total respect and with no desire to be harsh or judgmental. I believe that I am judged more strictly if I speak in God’s name. I do not want anyone to be judged for speaking hatefully in the name of a loving God.^Hate causes heart attacks, depression causes strokes.Love promotes life. Be joyful and find something to smile about.Respectfully,Lovingly,C.
