Realtor: For baby boomers, the biggest challenge in house-hunting is, of course, the "E" factor. Irving: The "E" factor? Realtor: Entitlement. What you think you're entitled to versus what you can actually afford. The level of luxury you expect versus the level of debt to which you've already sunk. Shall we take a peek at your portfolios? Irving and Cathy: We deserve a real estate agent who isn't a great big snoop!! Realtor: (Thinks: And so we begin...)
“Entitlements” that people absolutely cannot afford is why so many houses are in foreclosure these days. :-(A few months ago, I read a quote somewhere that really stuck with me and I believe it to be a very true one:“Rich people stay rich by living like they’re broke.Broke people stay broke by living like they’re rich.”While very few of us (especially me!) have anywhere near the bank accounts of Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey and others like them, I think that’s very good advice for everyone to remember and follow . . . no matter how much money you’vegot! ;-)
Hi, rgcviper! :-)
Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. After getting a little over 4" in the last 2 days, the rain has officially stopped and the sun has finally come out where I live in southern Indiana. Hope you all had a really nice day too! :-)
