    Who takes their children to a 25 year reunion?
    Hello Cathy fans!

    @specinss

    Maybe her mom doesn’t drive anymore, and had her daughter take her, so she wouldn’t lose out on the fun.

    Or maybe mom wants to party hard and needs a DD.
    (Although I agree that I’d never take my children to a reunion…)

    This is a new low for you, Irving, you should go home. Look at that CRAZY expression of his in panel 3! (And sadly, he looks like an old lady in the last panel.) What a hot mess you’ve been these past 2 weeks, Irving. Sigh.

    Good morning, Cathy clan!! Wow, I’m still excited that Anona Mouse is an accomplished author! Impressive (and so modest)! Have a great Friday!

    I take my two oldest daughters with me to HS reunions because I’m a widow and don’t wish to go alone. It’s way more fun when they’re there because all my HS friends like them!! You should try it!

    Serves Irving right for trying too hard. His ego is way too inflated, anyways. Well, most of the time it is.

    Hopefully Irving is going home now. Time for a new story. Happy Friday all.

    @SUSAN NEWMAN

    You have a heat wave and we’ve decided that we are going to call our area of South Carolina, “Lower Uncton” after the ancestral home, in England, of Al Bundy, the main character in the old tv show “Married, With Children”.
    .
    “Why?” you ask?
    .
    Whenever we need rain, my husband simply plants grass seed and rain comes, almost immediaetly to wash it away.
    .
    This year, he planted sod. The weather has turned “monsoon-ish” to try to wash it away, or at least kill it.

    I think Cathy in the day could have drawn the daughter thinner, then Irving would have really gone berserk.

    I’m with you. I thought the girl was pointing to her old white-haired mother in the last panel and it was Irving!

    AnonaMouse — thanks for the info. I’m going to look up your books TODAY! I’m a writer wannabe. I do a column for my local newspaper, but I haven’t worked up the nerve to get serious about a novel. You inspire me!

    lindz.coop — (from yesterday) — the song is “Camp Granada” by Allan Sherman, 1963. Funny stuff.

    Have a great weekend, Cathy Clan!

    My Dad could always make it rain when required. He would go out into the garden on a nice sunny, warm day, plant some seeds and go back indoors. And – every time – down would come the rain to give them a welcome drink to start them growing!

    It never failed. And the garden was always colourful and tasty.

    Hi Anona Mouse.
    I just purchased your When the Snow Refused to Fall . It’s on my Nook now. I think I’ll get Flowers for Alys too.
    I want to find out what happened that new born baby.

    Thank you so much, marmar! I’ve put a note in yesterday’s comments for lightenup, catsarge and hendelca, but please feel free to read it yourself as well.

    You’re all making not just my day – but my week! Thank you!

    :-D

    Irving is supposed to have “highlights” in his hair. Must be the Cathy colorist didn’t know how to do that look.
