Mom: How could you spend money on storage systems to save this junk, Cathy! Cathy: It isn't BAD junk, mom. See? I'll put the cute little note cards I don't use into that cute little file...I'll put the nice little broken earrings I never wear into this nice little box...I'll put the darling samples of cologne I don't like into these darling drawers...It's cute junk, mom! It's nice, harmless, cute junk! Mom: She isn't a pack rat. She's a pack gerbil.
Ouch. I have a small problem with keeping things, however I am not overrun with stuff (and I’m working on getting rid of things), so I wouldn’t say I’m a “hoarder”. I keep things with sentimental value, especially if it’s old (i.e. “vintage”), and I do keep some things that I may need “just in case”. I know I got a lot of my habits from my mother, who grew up in the Depression and WW2. Sigh…Hello Cathy clan!! I’m a bit late today because I went to the doctor for a check-up. I went to a new one, who seems really nice and understanding (yay!), and she said that I’m in great health from what she can see. We’ll see when the test results come back to know for sure. AND she said that she was fine with me not wanting to be on MS medicine considering I’ve had one episode in 11 years and I’m in good health. Now, to convince the MS doctor in June… But it’s been a good morning!Thank you to linda.coop and ncalifgirl for your kindness and best wishes! I love Cathy’s corner!! :-)
