Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

I agree that it looks pretty nice on her. I’m just confused by her phrase “worked all my life”. When???? ;-)
Hello, my favorite Cathy clan!!
@catsarge – I’m so sorry you are going through a kidney stone! Ouch!! You poor thing! {hugs!}
The update to my life is that Jr is definitely allergic to cashews, but they are considering that an allergy to all tree nuts. This is confusing to me, because walnuts and pecans are not in the same family as cashews and pistachios. She’s supposed to get a blood test too to see what that shows.
..
The Girl Scout meeting didn’t go as anticipated, but it’s fine. Out of the 10 girls in our troop, 4 (maybe 5) have dropped out, so we’re talking about the fate of the troop since 5-6 is pretty small, especially if not many people want to contribute time and effort. It’s a little sad for Jr because she’s been in this troop since Kindergarten, but I’m happy that I won’t have all this to do next year. We’ll see what happens…

Cute if she were 7 years old. On an adult it looks sort of either stupid or a costume for a production of The Sound of Music.

Cute outfit today but . . .
Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching!!! That will be $2,725.00 + tax, please!!!!!
Ouch!!! On second thought, it’s not THAT cute after all!!!!!
Hi, rgcviper!
catsarge10: Hope you’re feeling okay today. When does your stent come out?
lightenup: Poor Jr.! She got a double-dose of bad news, didn’t she? Her Girl Scout troop may end up breaking up due to the lack of participation on both the girls’ part as well as that of their parents (although if it did, I’m glad that it would help lighten the load for YOU anyhow) . . . plus, she’s got a nut allergy! So sorry to hear about that . Regarding the nuts, perhaps it would be better for her to try and stay away from all nuts (even the “safe” ones) because she may have trouble remembering which one’s are which — possibly causing her to end up eating the wrong one(s), which would be bad. She’d be safe at home with you watching over her, of course, but when she’s away from home . . . well, you just never know what might happen. Poor little dear. What a bummer!!! I’d hate to be allergic to nuts because cashews are my absolute favorite and I love eating pecans in most any kind of cake imaginable . . . not to mention I’m a TOTAL peanut butter-holic!!!!! What a curse it would be to have an allergy like that. I really feel for her.
:-(
Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow “Cathy” fanatics. Hope everyone had a really nice day today. Only one more to get through before it’s the weekend again!!!!! :-)

@Macushlalondra
And her argument to that would be that men don’t have to learn to make their own clothes, so why should a woman have to learn how to make hers?

I am looking for a specific Cathy comic. Does anyone recall the ‘I lay my feet on the collected works of Shapespeare and watch the love connection . . . perfection is within my reach, but just slightly out of my grasp.’ Those are just two of the frames.
Hoping someone can help me out. I would love to see it again.

Annnnd, the [eye-roll] should, once again, just about do it.
HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.
