Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

The gaudiness of that crummy outfit must be the reason the saleswoman is wearing shades.
Good morning, fellow “Cathy” nuts.

The “wireless web”? Did we ever say that? I don’t remember, but it seems ridiculous now.
Good morning, Cathy clan!! My in-laws arrived last night. All went well and the house looks really great. Sure, there’s more to do, but this is the best it’s looked in years so it feels good. Hopefully now I can rest a little, although now I have to take Jr to the doctor to get tested for a possible nut allergy (how ironic, huh? If I were allergic to nuts, I couldn’t come here…. kidding!). Also, tonight we’re having a Girl Scout parent meeting, so please pray that other parents are willing to step up and take some of my responsibilities.
Have a wonderfully nutty day, all!

Cathy, if you’re going to buy into that look, you might as well ditch the heels and go barefoot. And good luck with being taken seriously!
Hi, clan. I’ve missed you, but I’m back again after more kidney stone trouble. I ended up having a ureteroscopy last Friday to remove 3 large stones. I get the stent out in a couple of days and hopefully that will be the end of it. If you’ve dealt with this before, I’m sorry! Now I can empathize with those who have!

AACK!!!!! From one ugly gypsy/peasant outfit to another! Does Cathy NEVER get tired of foolishly throwing her money away? And not just on clothes . . . but on fuggly clothes to boot?!? Again, I say AACK!!!!!
Hi, rgcviper!
Hi, catsarge10! So sorry to hear of your continued kidney stone trouble. Thankfully the one I had a few years ago passed on its own without much trouble beyond the initial “OMG! I wish I were dead!!!!!” pain I had when it first started but my next-door neighbor’s daughter recently had them so bad she had to have surgery in order to have them removed and was hospitalized for several weeks because of them (but she had Spina bifida and other health problems as well so I’m sure that was probably a huge reason for her being in there as long as she was). Good luck and I hope the worst is behind you!!!!!
Hi, lightenup! Glad the in-laws made it there safely and all your hard work has really paid off! Hope Jr. isn’t allergic to nuts because they can be so hard to avoid sometimes no matter how hard you try. If it turns out she is, make sure she has an epi-pen with her at all times . . . just in case! Hopefully there won’t be a problem at the Girl Scout meeting tonight. Surely someone will see how full your plate is and will step up to help you out with whatever you need. After all, isn’t one of their mottoes “to help people at all times”? ;-)
Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow “Cathy” fanatics! Hope everyone’s having a really nice day today.
