Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

rgcviper – thanks for sending a message about the Sunday strips! The last time this happened and we told them, they fixed it, so I’m hoping next Sunday will be an actual Sunday one.
@ hendelca – It must be nice to watch your basement come together and enjoy it! Keep us updated on how it’s going! I am just now starting my basement project, so I would love something to look forward to. :-)
Have a great Monday, nutty Cathy Clan! It’s rainy here, which we really need, so I’m enjoying it.

As mind-blowing as it is for me to admit this . . . I totally agree with Cathy today! My husband bought me an iPod Shuffle for Christmas (which, unfortunately, turned out to be defective and had to be returned to the store today. Sorry, lightenup!) so he plans on getting me just a regular MP3 player instead to replace it. My days are so busy doing this, that and the other that I have no idea when I’d EVER find the time to put any music on it whatsoever! It’s a waste of money and I don’t even really want it but what can I do with a husband that’s just so darned determined to get it for me?!? Love him for his thoughtfulness and consideration all the same, I guess!!!!! ;-)
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Monday to all my “Cathy Clan” friends. Hope everyone had a really nice weekend!

This strip (especially after seeing it twice) makes me think about how cool it would be to turn on a big old fan in front of Cathy’s desk!
Hello, Clan! Welcome to washingtoneagle from yesterday!

Hi Cathyites!! Love your idea catsarge10 — that would take care of the problem a lot faster.

Sadly, I can’t argue much with this one.
@lightenup
You bet. Today I got the following response from GoComics:
“Thanks for letting us know about this error. I’ve forwarded the information to the proper department for correction. "
Here’s hoping next Sunday will be an actual Sunday comic. Crossing my fingers.
HI, MOM! Hello, nutty “Cathy” Clan.

Years ago husband bought a Palm III. I thought it was stupid. He lent it to me when he couldn’t use it for a couple of years. He never got it back. We got Palm Centro cell phones so I could carry 1 item. 6 years or so later we wanted to switch cell phone co’s and he wanted an Android. I would not give up the Centro. He actually went on the Internet and found brand new in box, 6 year old Centros so I could get one that would would work with a card from Straight Talk so I could keep a Centro rather than get an Android. Newer is not always better.
