   Ha! I would do this. If I like something so much, I’ll buy it to make sure I get it. I’ve tried telling others that I’d like it as a gift, but that’s no guarantee that I’ll get it. Plus, if the gift wears out, you’ll always have a backup.

   Happy day after your anniversary GretchensMom.
   
   I have already dropped several hints as to what I would like for Christmas but if I don’t get them, no problem. What I want is always available. Actually, this year I hinted at the movie “Brave”. Since we have booked the ‘Brave’ adventure in Scotland for next June I should, at least, see the movie. (Not really important though – just going to Scotland is exciting enough for me!)

   I just had a shopping weekend with my best friends, but since I’ve about taken care of all my gifts for others, it turned out to be a “Merry Christmas to Me” adventure!

   Hi Cathyites!! Back in the day, I might have done something like this — now I just take my hubby along and he always gets me exactly what I want and in the right size too. Then he takes me along and the same thing happens for him. Problem solved!!

    It’s the safest way! My OH has no idea what size I am, even after half a century or so. Although he can usually buy me the right size in socks.
