Nothing like a good friend to share your experiences.

Hmmm … can you smell scorching fur ?

I scorched my teddy when I was a liitle kid, by holding him too close to the kerosene heater. Mum put a set of my baby clothes on him to hide the scorch. I still have the teddy … and he still has the scorch mark. The baby clothes were changed when our kids grew out of theirs and didn’t need them any more.

Our boy kitty once jumped up on the table whilst we were dinning by candlelight, and happened to swish his tail through the flame. It
self-extinguished immediateky, but gawd, did it STINK!

Enjoy the absence of serious responsibilities as well as the ability to truly indulge in wholehearted idleness while you can, kid. The busy years will coming rushing by soon enough, and there’s no getting off THAT particular train.

“On a poster, I taped some stuff I found around the house, and then next to it, what it looked like when it was all burned up, with a brief, descriptive paragraph of how bad it smelled while it was burning up. Cat hair smelled the worst”

Trout Fishing in America song “Science Fair”

I just try not to take life or aging for granted. I live one day at a time and make the best effort I can to do the best of my ability. Simple things like watching the sun set, watching the sun rise, or just visiting a friend; mustering everything I can to make each day better than the day before. Everyday is a great day for being alive and being above the ground certainly beats being under it any day.

One of our prior kitties set herself on fire once. Didn’t even notice. Bless her, she wasn’t very bright.
