    This is one of the few times Huey just does not get it. I’ve heard many bi-racial children speak of how they felt forced to choose and that the choice meant denying half of who they were and the parent they loved.

    But at least Huey seems to accept her. I still remember the night a room mate came home early from a Kwanzaa celebration. He had been told he could participate but his bi-racial daughters could not because they were white and this was a black community event.

    Life is a struggle everywhere.
